She put on happiness like a loose dress
Over pain I'll never know
"So the peace you had," she says,
"I must confess, I'm glad to see it go."
We're two white roses lying frozen just outside his door
I've made you so happy and so sad,
But which should I be more sorry for?

And the complications you could do without
When I kissed you on the mouth

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far, far, far away from here

I prefer being under the floor with the worms while you all crash around in the ten inch stilettos you don't need, tripping all over one another's bullshit that drags as far behind you as your fake faces. I like being solitary and refined. I like people passing over me when my face isn't on.

I'm so sorry, but I'm scared that my heart will regret the things that I've done
Breathe in all of the ashes of my mistakes.
Gently collapse so no one will notice that you're falling too short of your breath.
I've wasted more time dreaming than living.

Remember when the days were long
And rolled beneath a deep blue sky
Didn’t have a care in the world
With mommy and daddy standing by
When happily ever after fails
And we’ve been poisoned by these fairy tales
The lawyers dwell on small details
Since daddy had to fly
But I know a place where we can go
That’s still untouched by man
We’ll sit and watch the clouds roll by
And the tall grass wave in the wind
You can lay your head back on the ground
And let your hair fall all around me
Offer up your best defense
But this is the end
This is the end of the innocence
